"This project was born from the
heart and personal experience"

Caring for a loved one is an act of profound love, it is giving without measure, it is being present in every moment, in every need, in every smile and in every challenge. My story with the care of older adults began at home, with two of the people I loved most in my life: my husband and my mother.

My husband, a war veteran, was entitled to certain benefits that we never took advantage of, simply because we didn't know they existed. For two years I cared for him alone, without support or respite, not because I didn't want to, but because I didn't know I could get help through programs like Medicaid. With my mother, it was a similar story. For years, I devoted myself to her well-being, and when I finally sought support, I didn't find in the caregivers the same love and dedication that I gave her and that she deserved.

It was after she left that I discovered that everything could have been different. That there were resources, programs, and assistance that would have lightened my load and improved her quality of life. No one informed me, advised me, or guided me through that process, and over time I discovered that I was not alone.

And that is why I Care was born: not only to offer care to those who need it, but to do so with the same love with which one cares for one's own family. My commitment is to recruit people with a true vocation for service, because I know that caring for an elderly person or for people with specific needs is not just a job, it is a heartfelt commitment. I also want to be a guide for families who, like me, may be going through this path without knowing that there is help available.

Here, every person matters, every story counts and above all, here everyone is cared for with love.
